Our story

From a humble barrow to a Cambridge legend

Serving Cambridge's famous hot sausages for over 40 years, our Victorian-style barrow on Fitzroy Street has been a local favourite since 1986. We specialise in classic hot dogs made with the legendary Cambridge sausage, freshly prepared and served with simple, satisfying toppings.

What started as a humble street barrow has become a familiar part of the neighbourhood, feeding students, locals, workers, and passers-by alike. Generations have stopped by for a proper hot dog and a friendly chat.

From 1986 to 2026, our mission has stayed the same: great sausages, great service, and a bit of Cambridge tradition on every bun.

“Officially voted the best hot dogs around by our most important critic — my very own grandmother.”
